As part of the design engagement on the Bemerton Heath Pump Track we are looking for people's views on the following two concepts to set the design direction of the project.
Following this initial enagement we will develop the communities preferred concept into an outline design for the second stage.
You can view the two concepts below and provide your feedback and comments via the form at the bottom of the page.

Concept 1 is a traditional pump track consisting of a series of straights of rollers and jumps linked with a variety of berms. There would be a number of crossover or transfer sections, as well as a low-profile section of track.
This concept requires significant ground works in order to create a level area on which the track would be constructed.

Concept 2 works with the natural topography of the site to provide a gravity fed jump line(s) feeding into a traditional pump track in the lower part of the site. The jump line would feature a series of progressive jumps with different take-off options. This would feed into the traditional pump track which could be ridden independently and could feature a low-profile loop for beginner riders.

WHAT IS A PUMP TRACK?
A Pump Track is an asphalt surfaced circuit consisting of various undulations, called rollers, and banked turns, called berms. The track can be used by all wheeled sports including bikes, skateboards and scooters.
The tracks form means that users can generate and control their speed soley by 'pumping', a shifting of their weight and pushing into the tracks features.
Pump Tracks are a fantastic physical workout and amazing for skill development across all wheeled sports. As users improve they are able to manual or jump between features and new lines will open up meaning the track experience never gets boring!
WHO is it for?
Pump Tracks are brilliant for their ability to cater to a wide variety of users. They are suitable for all wheeled sports and can be used by anyone from young children starting out on balance bikes, to seasoned professionals honing their skills.
